Hi, I have a 2006 Jetta TDI and I want to upgrade to the Hi-Line package. I need a tool that can: 1-retrieve 'secret key codes' or 'pin codes' from my car. I need it to read the code of my existing instrument cluster and read the code from the cluster I will be installing(it is used). 2-Change the odometer reading on the hi-line cluster to match my old cluster's odometer.

1 For TechStream adapter KLine (eg VAG-COM) or VAG K + CAN Commander 1.4, you must install the driver USB-COM, from the adapter. Usually, it comes with a disk for the adapter. 2 Copy the folder J2534KCANv1.0.0.9 of the archive in the folder C: Program FilesToyota DiagnosticsTechstream.

3-I would also like it to program keys. Can the VAG-CAN Commander do all of these tasks? Anyone out there have one? Kak sostavitj kratkoe uslovie zadachi 3 klass.

If so, where did you purchase it? Thanks, Brendan. Hi Out of curiosity I Have downloaded the free user guide and software for VAG CAN 1.4 from: web page. I am interested in upgrading the spare plain key for my Altea 5P to one with remote (happy to keep the existing plain transponder key and add a blipper to the fob if this is easier - anything that stops the alarm going off if you don't put the key in the ignition quickly enough has to be good at 6AM!). I dont really want to pay SEAT £150+ to do it, so I wondered if anyone has done this job with this VAG CAN commander full 4.5 beta software (one particular question I have is can you add a new key/blipper or do you need to re-learn all the keys again). Also does anyone have an English translation for the modules listed under the dropdown (bottom right on the main screen) so I can understand what they cover? I have tried to translate/work this out but am really guessing as I don't speak German!

(If anyone has a good link to the English list/version that would be very helpful for my understanding). German English? 1 Motor Engine 2 Getriebe Gearbox 3 ABS ABS 4 Niveauregelung levelling adjustment 5 Airbag Airbag 6 dynamische LWR dynamic headlamp beam light control 7 kombi instrument cluster 8 9 lenkhilfe power steering 10 allrad all wheel? Thanks for the reply, I managed to get a VW blipper with the same frequency as my original one (433.92 MHz)) and have programmed this to the car by following the owners manual instructions for 'synchronising the remote key' (you can find a copy at see pages 101 and 102) but I used the original blip key in the ignition and the plain one in the door (opposite way round to the instructions in the owners manual) with the VW blip taped to the plain key (tape probably not necessary). It took a while to get the right sequence but eventually the lights flashed and the blipper started working so I can now use the VW blipper with the plain key which has overcome the immediate problem of no second blipper. I have purchased a VAG CAN 1.4 + lead from and will let you know if it works for reading the immo code and recognising the VW blip transponder key. I was just wondering if anyone knows if I need to get the key blade cut before I can try to recognise the transponder (is the lock that smart?).

I could swap the blade but dont want to waste time doing this if it is not necessary. I will update with any progress on this blog regarding transponder recognition.

I hope others will find the info about the ability of using a blipper to work with a plain key useful (you can just buy a blipper to work with your plain key and save a load of cash) I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere when I was looking (e.g. Were transponders smart and ID the key as plain and not blip). There could be a market here for a nice after market fob blipper to upgrade plain keys. My car is a 2007 Seat Altea XL and I have bought on Ebay a VAG CAN 5.1 which I can read, clean and measure DTC's, I even can go to the odometer (7-Kombi) but I cannot use 'Adaptation'. For ex, I select a Target code, for example, 33 - ComfortModule. Then I can click on 'measure values' and click '+' in the right on 'Value'. Hot cpu tester pro 441 serial number. When I find a 'Value' that I want to change, I click to stop on 'measure values', and click start on 'Start' of 'Adaptation'.

Here starts the problem, because in the upper bar it says 'Click on Enter/Test to see current value', but there's no popup or window with a field with that code value! Like the SW says, if you click on 'Enter/Test', it says 'Enter new value', but still there is no place or field to enter the new value. Has someone got the same problem?
