My PC is in 64-bit Windows 8.1 SL upgrade from Windows 8 SL. I was having a problem with my touchpad, it doesn't perform its 'special' functions like side scrolling and many other 'special' functions.

It only works for pointing, left and right clicking. It doesn't even automatically disable itself everytime I use an external mouse even if I already configured it do so(@Mouse Properties > ELAN tab).

Same problem occured before updating my PC to Windows 8.1. Same problem also occured after reinstalling Windows 8.

So I thought by updating it's driver would solve the problem. After downloading the latest driver for my touchpad at the manufacurer's website (Acer) heres what I have done: 1. I tried installing the latest driver without uninstalling the old one. But nothing has changed. I tried to uninstall the software ETDWare PS/2-X64 11.6.16.203_WHQL first. After uninstalling, I was asked to restart my PC so I restarted it immediately. While on the process of restarting a Blue Screen error appeared 'MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUEST' and then it rebooted then my PC performed a System Restore.

PLLLEEEAASSSSEEEE HELP!:( It has been a headache seeing the problem again and again everytime I try to update my touchpad driver! Hi Joseph, I can imagine the inconvenience you have experienced.
