As is usually the case as soon as I replace my old bandsaw, I stumble across a deal on an old bigger one for half the price. But I really don't know if I want to screw with it or not because: a. I don't need it b. I don't have room for it c. It will need some pretty serious tlc Which all means that I will probably buy it.

But I want to consult with you guys first because you are my spiritual advisers & all that. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me.

Artcam 81 crack. Specifically, it is a Carolina Tool & Machinery Company (10 inch) Model HD-10. 1000# Overall Dimensions Approx. 60' L-R x 23' F-B x 41' H The one I am looking at does have a new hydraulic feed cylinder but it is sitting outside; it is not a complete rustbucket but does need a good cleaning. I am skeptical of the approximate weight; it probably weighs considerably less. It is of fabricated construction with few cast iron pieces other than the wheels.

The one I looked at does not have the optional orange cord reel. The asking price is $100. Tell me what you think?

Eric Hoffer The True Believer 1951. Cutter, I'm surprised that you don't want it to cleanup, repair and resell. After I read and saw your thread about vise rebuilding, this rebuild would be a a piece of cake. From the looks of the picture this would be a quick fixup and turnover, if there's no major parts broken. In the past, I've worked in a few shops that had this model of Carolina saw and they seemed to preform pretty good. They are not as popular as the Ellis brand saw, but they get the job done.

The only thing I would add to it is a tank and small pump for soluble oil coolant and lubracation. Where is it located.

For the price, it's a steal. Cutter, unless the gearbox is shot, how can you go wrong?

Well Stove poker, I was actually kinda proud of myself for having enough restraint to come here & post the question before I jumped on it and I just asked you guys in case anyone with prior experience wanted to blast the product line for some sort of inferior design or hidden flaws, but I guess not. I probably would have bought it anyway. She already knew my name when I walked up to her, and I hear her sigh when I lifted her bow.

This old saw has been sitting outside for a while but 'out side' around here doesn't necessarily mean what it does in Owego or Lebanon. We haven't had any rain in something like 110 days now.

I asked if the motor was still good & Garland said it ran the last time he used it a few months ago. I know it needs new guide bearings & of course, a blade or two. There is some surface rust, of course but it should give way to solvents or brushing. Bill, it is sitting at a little woodyard about 3 miles due south of where I'm sitting; I went out there yesterday to get a load of firewood. Sooo, I read your replies before I picked up the phone & called the man back this afternoon. Garland said he would load it up for me tomorrow afternoon if I can make it.

Oh - gmc1999, I get the owner's manual, too. I will holler at you for a mailing address as soon as I can get a copy made, providing it is in decent condition. Thank you all for your opinions & comments - and for your spiritual guidance.
